What to know about this office
- It handles green card interviews and citizenship interviews, not asylum interviews.
- No walk-ins. Every interview needs an appointment.
- The interviews themselves are usually short. The wait around them is not.
- If your notice says Bethpage, yours is an asylum interview and the rules are different.

Before you book anyone
Bringing an interpreter is your responsibility here, not USCIS’s. You and your interpreter sign Form G-1256 in front of the officer, and the officer decides whether the interpreting is good enough. If it isn’t, the interview is rescheduled — months of waiting, gone.
